In this age of information technology, the content and scope of getting access to information has increased dramatically over the last decade, especially, with the arrival of the internet and other multi-media tools of learning,
We now have the ways and means to access multitudes of information sources. Unfortunately, this abundant access has also brought about a bottleneck at the crucial point – our mind. This is because the way we process, absorb and retain the information is not in pace with the rapid sequences of development. Therefore, there appears to be a tremendous need to bring about an awareness that will ultimately lead to the appropriate development of the mind and brain.
We are so engrossed on developing technology itself and take for granted that technology will develop our minds. However, it is discovered that, we are only sorting out information merely to access and upgrade our knowledge! We have become so feeble that it appears we have both the powers and special skills to remember pages of information, nor, are we able to solve simple mathematical problems mentally anymore. This shows how dependent our minds have become on external tools and aids.
The information itself has been packaged and loaded into sophisticated multi-media technological facilities, in the form of books, e-books, magazines, radio, television, and of course, computers, with its mind-boggling range of applications. Although all of these innovative developments have extended the scopes of information, however, we have not equipped ourselves properly and adequately with the corresponding mind sharpening techniques to enable ourselves to effectively assimilate and effectively disseminate the ever-changing knowledge scene.
This programme is intended for use by students, parents, and teachers to learn the art and techniques of studying skillfully, efficiently and effectively. What we need is a reliable system and workable training method that can really accelerate the learning process to produce academic excellence.
A new school of teaching is needed urgently to educate and train students on how to segregate and collect this information uniformly and to organize it systematically according to their requirement. Surprisingly, it appears that, presently, there is no school teaching the students to apply such methodologies on how to use the brain to cultivate the physical, mental, emotional and intuitional (PMEI) attributes in searching for materials systematically. And, it further appears that no school is presently teaching the students how to use the brain effectively and to cultivate the mental ability and facility.
It is important for the teachers, students, and parents to understand the emphasis on the selectivity of knowledge, especially for students facing exams. The students must be taught to develop proper habits of searching, sorting, understanding, memorizing and assimilating the knowledge, according to the requirement of their curriculum.
Every student must also be equipped with the right mental tools and techniques in order to have the competitive edge for succeeding and challenging this new world of the information age. Parents and teachers must be alerted to the dire need for such tools and to make them available to the students. These tools should become a part of their learning habit, just like brushing teeth, and should be accepted as part of their daily life.
Our emphasis in this program is mainly on developing living skills, good habits and proper training towards using our brain to the fullest. We need to train the mind effectively and know how to manage the body scientifically in order to get maximum productive results.
This program will also become a valuable tool to the parents for teaching their children how to enhance their brainpower, develop the brain and provide mental tools. It is highly recommended for students to acquire skills in answering questions effectively as well as helping them to retain and recall such information.
This program is a must for students who want to discover and develop their inner, hidden, unrecognized talents and potential.
How to study smart is generally recommended for anyone who wants self-development and self-acquire skills to develop and enhance their brain power.
